Currently serving as a Project Assistant at ABM, I contribute to the Government Help to Grow initiative, overseeing back-office functions and administrative tasks crucial to our operational success. With nearly 30 years of extensive experience in retail, I have learned many skills through various roles, ascending to management positions while actively engaging in operations and customer service.
My involvement in local governance as a dedicated local councillor and former cabinet member for Environment and Public Health, along with my role as Equalities champion, reflects my commitment to advocating for community causes and representing resident interests effectively. Over the years, I have chaired numerous committees and panels both within the council and in educational settings, providing me with valuable leadership experience and strategic insight. I have a keen interest in good governance and in the value non-executive directors bring to organisations.
As a longstanding trustee/governor in multiple schools for over a decade, I have a good understanding of educational dynamics and operational within school environments. This multifaceted background enables me to foster collaborative environments where teams work in synergy to achieve shared objectives and deliver optimal outcomes across diverse projects and partnerships.
I am dedicated to nurturing supportive and cohesive work cultures that prioritise teamwork, innovation and goal attainment.
